Weekend Camp for young people in Cimișlia and Basarabeasca towns: We explore European values
This week, the Center for Educational and Community Development (CDEC) had the pleasure of organizing a Weekend Camp dedicated to European values, intended for young people from the city. Cimișlia and Or. Basarabeasca, who wants to understand better and actively promote the European Union's fundamental principles.
At a crucial moment for the integration of young generations into the fundamental values of the European Union, these activities aim to achieve several objects:
1. Informing young people by providing information about the fundamental values of the European Union, including democracy, human rights, the rule of law and solidarity.
2. Developing the necessary skills for young people to become active citizens and involved in their communities, understanding their role within the European community.
3. Promoting dialogue by creating a space for discussion and exchange of ideas between young people, future community leaders and facilitators.
The young participants had the opportunity to explore and better understand the fundamental principles of the European Union, interact with the youth facilitator groups created within the project and participate in interactive activities aimed at developing their skills and knowledge.

Adrian, Cimișlia student: "I found the information session about the European Union very captivating and interactive. I liked that it wasn't just theory, we worked together to make a timeline of important events".
Efim, 12th grade student, Matei Basarab Theoretical High School, Or. Basarabeasca ” I liked the session because we worked in groups and discussed European values such as respect and equality. Each group analyzed a value and we learned how it applies to our lives"
Dorina, 12th grade student, Basarabeasca: "The group discussions were very useful. We explored European values such as freedom and solidarity and talked about what they mean to us. It was an interactive activity.”
More than 60 young men and women participated in these two activities, out of a total of 7 similar activities organized in Cahul, Cantemir, Leova, Căușeni, Taraclia, Cimișlia and Basarabeasca districts.
